Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus will deliver an address to the nation ahead of the upcoming national parliamentary elections and referendum.
His recorded address will be broadcast simultaneously by all electronic and online media in the country at 6:30pm on Monday, according to a press brief released by the Department of Information and signed by the Chief Information Officer, Md Nizamul Kabir, in the afternoon.
The chief adviser’s previous address the nation was on 18 December after news of Inqilab Moncho spokesperson Sharif Osman Hadi’s passing. He had been undergoing advanced treatment in Singapore after he had been shot in the head on 12 December in Dhaka.
At that time, he called upon the people of the country to exercise patience and restraint after acts of violence and vandalism broke out in the capital.
