BCB president Md Aminul Islam Bulbul attended a training event in Mirpur on Monday. It confirmed he is currently in Bangladesh.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board shared the update in a media release. Bulbul spoke on the second day of the BCB Match Referee Two Day Training Program at the Shaheed Bashiruzzaman National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur.
The BCB Development Department organised the program. Umpires Education Consultant Simon Taufel is conducting the sessions.
The event came after a tense weekend for Bangladesh cricket. On Sunday, rumours spread about Bulbul’s whereabouts. There was also talk about possible travel plans.
On Monday, photos of Bulbul outside the BCB office also circulated on social media. The official update later confirmed his presence in Mirpur.
