BNP has expelled four of its leaders, including a member of the National Executive Committee, on charges of breaching party discipline.

The party announced the decision through three separate press releases issued on Monday. The notices, signed by the BNP’s Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, stated that the leaders were removed from all positions, including their primary memberships.

According to the sources, Anwar Hossain Bulu, a member of the BNP National Executive Committee, was expelled for his involvement in anti-organisational activities that violated party decisions.

In a separate notice, the party announced the expulsion of Engr Abdul Halim, who served as an Advisor to the Kalihati Upazila BNP in Tangail. He also held the position of Vice-President of the Jatiyatabadi Muktijoddha Dal central committee. His expulsion followed his decision to contest the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election as an independent candidate, defying the party’s official stance.

Furthermore, two leaders from Munshiganj were also expelled for activities contrary to organisational discipline. They are Mujibur Rahman, a member of the Munshiganj District BNP, and Md Saidur Rahman Fakir, who served as the General Secretary of Sadar Thana BNP and was also a member of the Munshiganj District BNP.

The sources indicate that these disciplinary actions were taken because the individuals were found to be involved in activities that undermined the party’s decisions and organisational integrity.
