For the first time in its 39-year history, Bangladesh Krira Shiksha Pratishthan (BKSP) has a theme song. Titled ‘Come and Fly the Flag of Our Homeland’, the track is performed by Belal Khan, Kona, Moumita Nadi and Sajeeb Das.
Speaking about the song, Belal Khan said, “BKSP is the country’s premier sports education institution, nurturing young talent for national and international arenas. It is a pleasure to sing this song for them.”
The video, directed by Chandan Roy Chowdhury, features famous cricketers Mushfiqur Rahim, Liton Das, footballers Mursalin and Mamunul Haque, hockey player Jimmy, sprinter Shirin and a host of current and former BKSP athletes.
Composed by Belal Khan with music arranged by Sajeeb Das, the lyrics were penned by Nihar Ahmed and BKSP sports teachers. The Director General, Brigadier General Md. Munirul Islam, said the song “will inspire every cadet to be confident and patriotic, one day flying the flag of our homeland on the world sports stage, including the Olympics.”
