The Land Ministry has introduced the “Bhumi Drishti” app to ensure regular and timely attendance of officials and employees at their workplaces, while enhancing accountability and transparency through dashboard‑based monitoring.
The initiative aims to make land services more accountable, dynamic, and citizen‑friendly.
Land Minister Md Mizanur Rahman inaugurated the app on Thursday.
He said the programme has initially started in Dhaka, Gazipur, Narayanganj, Bogura, Rajshahi, and Chattogram districts, and will later be expanded nationwide. Attendance and activities will be monitored through the app, and its proper implementation is everyone’s responsibility.
Mizanur added that the goal is to gradually bring land services to people’s doorsteps, advancing the ministry’s work with transparency, efficiency, and integrity. He noted that allegations of corruption against a former land minister are being investigated by the Anti‑Corruption Commission.
State Minister for Land Barrister Mir Mohammad Helal Uddin was also present at the launch. He said several land services have already been digitised, and public awareness is needed to encourage their use.
Services such as paying taxes, obtaining khatians, and other facilities are now available online. He stressed that dishonest actions by a few officials should not tarnish the reputation of others, urging all field‑level staff to remain vigilant.
