The 57th border conference at the director general level between Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and India’s Border Security Force (BSF) is scheduled to be held in New Delhi from 8-11 June, a BGB press release said on Monday.
A 15-member Bangladesh delegation, led by BGB Director General Major General Mohammad Ashrafuzzaman Siddiqui, will participate in the four-day conference.
Apart from senior BGB officers, the delegation will include officials from the Prime Minister’s Office, the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Shipping, the Land Survey Department, and the Joint River Commission, according to the release.
The Indian delegation, led by the BSF Director General, will include senior BSF officers as well as officials from India’s federal Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of External Affairs, and other relevant agencies.
