The Embassy of Bangladesh in Doha has issued an urgent notice advising Bangladeshi expatriates in Qatar to exercise heightened caution following the situation arising from the Iran-Israel strikes.
In the interest of safety, the embassy urged all citizens to stay away from military installations and remain in their homes or other safe locations. Expatriates have been advised to avoid unnecessary travel outdoors until the situation stabilises.
The mission further recommended that citizens keep essential items readily available at all times, including cash, Qatar ID, health cards, necessary medicines, mobile chargers, and dry food.
Emphasising the need to respect local regulations, the embassy reminded expatriates to adhere to the Qatar government’s directives and statements.
It specifically warned that uploading photos or videos related to the situation on social media is a violation of Qatari law, and urged all individuals to be responsible in their social media usage.
For emergencies, the embassy has provided a hotline at +974 33662000 and an email address at [email protected].
