All import and export activities through the Banglabandha land port in Panchagarh with India, Nepal, and Bhutan have been suspended for 11 days in observance of the holy Eid-ul-Fitr.
Banglabandha Land Port Limited Manager Abul Kalam Azad confirmed the matter on Tuesday. The suspension will be in effect from 17-27 March.
He said that the decision was made through a letter signed by General Secretary of the Banglabandha C&F Agent Association Sadekul Islam on 10 March.
The official further said, “Although import and export activities will be suspended during this holiday period, the movement of passport-holding passengers through the port’s immigration will remain normal.”
