Dhaka Metropolitan Police arrested a man along with foreign liquor during an operation in the capital’s Banani area.
The arrested person is Soha Hazar, 24, says a press release.
Police conducted the drive on Sunday at around 10:10pm in the Banani area and arrested him.
According to Banani Thana police sources, acting on a tip-off, police carried out an operation at a house on Road No 12 of Block E in Banani, where an illegal shisha bar named “Antalya” was operating.
During the drive, police recovered foreign liquor from the premises.
At the time of arrest, police recovered 18 bottles of foreign liquor, seven plastic boxes of illegal shisha, 11 premium shisha stands, one motorcycle, one laptop and one key from his possession.
A case was filed at Banani Thana under the Narcotics Control Act in this connection.
The arrested person was later sent to a court of law.
