National Board of Revenue (NBR) has extended the deadline for companies to submit their income tax returns for the 2025–26 tax year by one month, setting a new date of 15 May.
The extension was announced in an official notification issued on Monday, following requests from various business sectors seeking additional time to complete the filing process. The deadline for corporate tax return submissions was set for 15 March, which was later extended to 15 April.
According to NBR officials, the latest tax return deadline extension was granted in consideration of multiple factors, including the election, Ramadan, and delays in audit processes.
The decision aims to ease compliance for businesses facing challenges in preparing and finalising their tax documents within the stipulated timeframe.
