The government has appointed Mohammad Badrul Haque, joint secretary at the Commerce Ministry Planning Cell, as the new administrator of Bangladesh Association of International Recruiting Agencies (BAIRA).
According to an order issued by Commerce Ministry on 23 April 2026, the appointment will be effective from 28 April 2026 for a period of four months.
The decision was taken to maintain the continuity of the organisation’s activities and ensure its smooth operation within the statutory framework, as the tenure of the current administrator is set to expire on 27 April 2026.
Mohammad Mostafa Jamal Haider, director general of the Trade Organisation-2 branch of Commerce Ministry, signed the order in accordance with Section 17 of the Trade Organisation Act, 2022.
Upon assuming his duties, the newly appointed administrator will manage the daily operations of the organisation and is tasked with organising a fair and acceptable election.
Following the conclusion of the polls, he will hand over responsibilities to the elected committee and subsequently inform the Ministry of Commerce regarding the transition.
The announcement was confirmed in a press release signed by Md Kamal Hossain, senior information officer at Commerce Ministry.
