Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman left for Turkey on Sunday for a five-day official visit at the invitation of the Turkish government.
During the visit, the Army chief is scheduled to inspect various defence industry organisations in the country.
In addition, he will hold courtesy meetings and exchange views with senior officials of the Turkish Armed Forces and key individuals associated with defence sector in Turkey.
The primary objective of the visit is to further develop and strengthen the bilateral defence relations between Bangladesh and Turkey.
