Actress Arjumand Ara Bokul, known for her work in films and television dramas, has returned to television hosting after a long break.
She is also a singer and occasionally takes on presenting assignments.
A few days ago, Bokul hosted Ladies Club, a special programme organised to mark the fifth anniversary of Nexus TV.
The appearance was not a one-off event. She has now taken on regular hosting duties for the programme.
Several episodes hosted by Bokul have already received positive responses from viewers.
These include ‘Chawa-Pawar Simarekha’, ‘Chapa Pore Thaka Golpogulo’, ‘Jiboner Nana Shomoy’, ‘Shomoy Byabosthapona’, ‘Jiboner Shad Nin’, ‘Eto Shur Ar Eto Gaan’ and ‘Prokritir Prarthona’, among others.
Speaking about the experience, Bokul said, “I feel most comfortable acting. If someone asks me about my profession, I would say I am an actress. At the same time, I love singing, reciting poetry and hosting programmes. That is why I really enjoy presenting Ladies Club on Nexus TV.”
She added, “I have received a very good response to all the episodes I have hosted so far. What makes this programme even more special is that successful women from different professions appear on various episodes and share their life stories and struggles. I listen to their experiences with great attention.”
Bokul also thanked Nexus TV for giving her the opportunity, saying she is thoroughly enjoying being part of Ladies Club.
