The new drama Amar Rajye Tumi was released on YouTube a day ago, featuring Tawsif Mahbub, Keya Payel and Malaika Chowdhury in the three lead roles.
However, actor Abu Hurayra Tanvir has also caught viewers’ attention with a brief but memorable appearance.
Around the 56-minute mark, when a prospective groom’s family arrives to meet Brishti, Tanvir enters the story as Asad, the groom.
Although he appears on screen for only around four minutes, the actor makes the character convincing and leaves a strong impression.
The conversation and performance between Brishti and Asad have also received positive reactions from viewers.
The story then takes a new turn before returning to its central narrative.
Directed by Mashrikul Alam, Amar Rajye Tumi features Tanvir in a guest appearance.
Explaining how the actor joined the project, the director said, “I called Tanvir at night and told him, ‘Friend, I need you to make a guest appearance.’ He did not ask what he had to do or even what the story was about. He simply said, ‘Since you’re asking me, I’ll do it. You don’t need to say anything else.’ That is how Tanvir became part of the drama. He has been my friend since our school days.”
Tanvir said, “Although my character appears for only a short time, the role is important to the story. I acted in the drama not only because of my friendship with Mashrikul, but also because of my professional responsibility. I am happy that the drama has received a good response from viewers.”
