Amber IT has become an authorised reseller of Bangladesh Telecommunications Company Limited (BTCL), enabling the internet service provider to offer .bd and .bangla (in Bengali fonts) domain registration and management services as demand for local digital identities continues to grow.
The service allows businesses, organisations, entrepreneurs and individuals to register and manage .bd and .bangla domains through Amber IT alongside international domain extensions such as .com, .net, .org and .info, according to an Amber IT press release.
The company also provides DNS hosting, web hosting and email services.
Amber IT said the growing use of local domains reflects increasing demand for stronger digital identities and online presence. It said the new service is intended to provide customers with a faster, more secure and hassle-free registration process.
Customers registering .bd and .bangla domains through Amber IT will receive faster domain activation and benefit from simplified documentation requirements, the company said. Applications can be submitted online, while payments can be made through banks and mobile financial services, allowing customers to complete the registration process from anywhere in the country.
The service includes free DNS hosting and domain management. Customers will also receive SMS and email notifications on domain renewals, expiry dates and other account information. A self-service customer portal will enable users to manage their domains independently.
Amber IT said the initiative is aimed at expanding the use of local domains by providing secure, reliable and customer-focused services. It said .bd and .bangla domains offer businesses, institutions, brands and individuals a trusted online identity while strengthening their local digital presence.
