Folk singer Salma Akhtar has opened up about life, relationships and human selfishness in a heartfelt Facebook post that has caught the attention of her fans.

In her post, Salma reflected on the role of money and recognition in relationships, writing that sometimes financial concerns overshadow genuine connections. She also stressed that acts of kindness are never wasted, adding that “Allah increases it tenfold” when one does good for others.

Drawing on personal experiences, the artist advised her followers to prioritise their loved ones and remain mindful of life’s impermanence. “Life is between coming and going. Everything else is a scam,” she wrote, concluding with a poignant note on mortality and humility: “Many strong people become weak one day. Everyone has to return to their own address. There is nothing so arrogant. When you had no one, I was there, now after everything happened to you, I became you, alas, world!”

Salma did not specify if the message was directed at anyone in particular, leaving fans to interpret the post as a wider reflection on human behaviour and life’s fleeting nature.
