Television actress Ahona Rahman has issued a public warning after alleging that her former assistant has been using her name and identity to seek money from people.
In a lengthy Facebook post shared on Monday (27 July), Ahona claimed the incident came to light after the young woman, identified as Afifa, arrived at her residence late on Sunday night and introduced herself as a journalist.
According to the actress, security personnel contacted her apartment, but no one answered as the family was asleep.
She alleged that Afifa remained in the building’s security room until around 6 a.m. despite being asked to leave.
Ahona said her family only became aware of the situation the following morning, when security staff informed them that a “guest” had been waiting downstairs overnight.
The actress further alleged that Afifa had been introducing herself as Ahona’s sister while asking different people for money.
She said Afifa had worked as her assistant only for a short period.
Addressing her former assistant directly, Ahona wrote that she had warned her several times and described the Facebook post as a “final warning”.
She added that if the alleged harassment continues, she will pursue legal action against Afifa and anyone involved.
Ahona also urged the public to remain cautious and verify any requests for financial assistance made in her name before responding.
