Hollywood actor Adam Sandler officiated the wedding of pop star Taylor Swift and NFL player Travis Kelce at their star-studded ceremony held at Madison Square Garden, according to a press release obtained by Variety shortly after the couple announced their marriage.
The release also shared details about the ceremony and the couple’s wedding attire. It stated that Christian Dior Haute Couture designed the wedding looks for both Swift and Kelce. Jonathan Anderson, Creative Director of Dior Women’s, Men’s and Haute Couture collections, led the designs in close collaboration with the couple. The release described it as his first couture wedding dress for a globally recognised celebrity.
It added that Christian Louboutin created custom footwear for the couple. Swift wore Cartier jewellery during the ceremony.
The statement also confirmed that the couple did not include bridesmaids or groomsmen. Instead, Swift’s brother Austin Swift served as her Man of Honour, while Kelce’s brother Jason Kelce acted as Best Man. It also said that Adam Sandler officiated the ceremony and brought both families together.
Speculation had surrounded the wedding for days before the event. On the morning of the ceremony, the Associated Press confirmed that Swift and Kelce would marry on 3 July at Madison Square Garden.
Several celebrities attended the wedding, with reports showing guests arriving in formal attire. The guest list included Ed Sheeran, Bradley Cooper, Zoë Kravitz, Jack Antonoff, Gigi Hadid, Dakota Johnson, Ethan Hawke, Machine Gun Kelly, Jason Sudeikis, Hugh Grant and Camila Cabello. Reports also suggested the guest list reached up to 1,000 people.
Variety also reported that digital invitations included watermarks and non-disclosure agreements.
Other notable attendees included AMC Theatres CEO Adam Aron, filmmaker Steven Spielberg, Disney executive Bob Iger, Dana Walden, Universal Music Group chairman Lucian Grainge, Republic Records founders Monte and Avery Lipman, and Swift’s longtime tour promoter Louie Messina.
