Members of Special Response Battalion-12 (SRB-12) have recovered a locally-made revolver and two rounds of bullets during an operation in Sirajganj Sadar upazila.
The operation was conducted at around 9:15pm on Wednesday in the 3 No China Bandh (Crossbar 3) area of Char Malshapara village under Sadar Police Station.
The details were confirmed in a press release issued on Thursday, signed by Major Tabriz Tajwar Sharif, Company Commander of the SRB-12 Sadar Company.
According to SRB-12 sources, an operational team from the Sadar Company conducted the drive.
The weapon and ammunition were recovered in an abandoned condition from a reed grass field (Kashbon), around 100 yards behind a shop owned by Uzzal.
No arrests or detentions were reported in the press release in connection with the incident.
