Bangladesh have won the toss and opted to field first in the second match of their three-match T20I series against Afghanistan. The match is taking place at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium and is scheduled to begin at 8:30 PM Bangladesh time.

The Tigers currently lead the series 1-0 following a four-wicket victory in the opening match and will be aiming to secure the series with another win. There are two changes to the Bangladesh playing XI from the first match. Taskin Ahmed and Tanzim Hasan Sakib have been replaced by Shoriful Islam and Mohammad Saifuddin.

Bangladesh made a confident start to the series with a win in the first T20I. Afghanistan had set a target of 152 runs, which appeared within reach after an excellent 109-run opening partnership between Tanzid Hasan Tamim and Parvez Hossain Emon. However, a sudden middle-order collapse brought tension to the chase.

Despite the stutter, Bangladesh held firm. Nurul Hasan Sohan and Rishad Hossain steadied the innings and guided their side home with four wickets in hand, giving the Tigers a 1-0 lead in the series.
