DSE organises technical analysis training

Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) organised a 4-day workshop on “Basic Technical Analysis” from 10–18 August 2025, aimed at equipping participants with the essential skills for making informed investment decisions in the capital market.

The event, hosted by DSE Training Academy, was attended by a diverse group of participants, including investors and financial professionals.
Major General Mohammad Kamruzzaman (Retd.), the chief guest at the closing ceremony, emphasized the importance of technical analysis as a crucial tool for investors. He pointed out that without proper analysis, investment decisions could lead to losses.

He stressed the need for combining fundamental analysis with technical analysis for success in capital market investments. He advised investors to thoroughly evaluate company EPS, NAV, P/E ratio, and the promoters’ backgrounds before making decisions. He further highlighted that a careful observation of a company’s overall operations should be the cornerstone of investment strategies.
The workshop featured Samnoon Bin Zafar, Managing Director of Fintech Limited, Mustafa Zain Uddin, Senior Portfolio Analyst at IDLC Investments Limited, and Zubayed Al-Mamun Hasan, Managing Director of NBL Securities as key speakers.

They shared valuable insights on topics such as technical analysis platforms, technical indicators, geometric displays in technical analysis, trading systems, and risk management strategies.
The closing ceremony was attended by Syed Al Amin Rahman, Deputy General Manager of DSE, and Zubayed Al-Mamun Hasan, Managing Director of NBL Securities.
