BRAC Bank inaugurates sub-branch in Aftabnagar

BRAC Bank has inaugurated its newest sub-branch in Aftabnagar area of the capital, bringing its sub-branch network total to 97.

The new sub-branch, located at Basic Mansuba Tower, Plot # A-24, Block # A, Aftabnagar Housing, was officially opened on August 17, 2025, by Vice-Chairperson Faruq Mayeenuddin Ahmed.

The inauguration event was attended by Managing Director & CEO (Current Charge) Tareq Refat Ullah Khan, Deputy Managing Director & Head of Branch Distribution Network Sheikh Mohammad Ashfaque, Senior Zonal Head for North A. K. M. Tareq, and other senior officials from the bank’s Distribution Network.

Aftabnagar, a rapidly developing area in Dhaka, is home to several universities, wholesale markets, and urban establishments, making it a strategic location for the new sub-branch.

The sub-branch is part of BRAC Bank’s multi-channel distribution strategy, designed to bring banking services closer to customers across the country.

The new sub-branch will offer a wide range of services to both individual and business customers.

These services include account opening, cash deposit and withdrawal, pension schemes, fund transfers via EFTN and RTGS, remittance services, utility bill payments, credit cards, consumer loans, student file services, debit card and chequebook processing, Astha App enrollment, school banking, and savings instruments.

However, foreign exchange services will not be available at this branch.

With an expansive network that includes 288 branches and sub-branches, 330 ATMs, 446 SME Unit Offices, and 1,121 Agent Banking Outlets, BRAC Bank continues to strengthen its presence as one of the largest banking networks in Bangladesh.
