The Bangladesh national women’s volleyball team will begin their training camp on Saturday, 16 August, at the Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan (BKSP) in Savar, ahead of two major international tournaments.
Speaking to BSS on Wednesday, Bangladesh Volleyball Federation (BVF) general secretary Bimal Ghosh Bhulu confirmed that the selected players will report to the federation on Friday, with the camp officially starting the following day.
A total of 31 players have been chosen for the long-term camp based on performances in various competitions and the recent Festival of Youth. The training programme, which will run under a local coach, is scheduled to continue until January next year.
The women’s team is preparing for the CAVA Women’s Championship 2025, to be held in the Maldives from 24 to 30 September, and the 14th South Asian Games, which will take place from 23 to 31 January in three cities across Pakistan.
