Bangladesh has hosted its first-ever exhibition dedicated to cosmetics, personal care, and hygiene, marking a significant step for the country’s beauty and wellness industry.
Cosmetica: Personal Care & Hygiene Show 2025 kicked off at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in Dhaka on Friday, with key industry leaders and experts from around the world participating in this landmark event.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by Park Youngsik, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Bangladesh, who expressed enthusiasm for the country’s potential in the cosmetics and personal care market.
The exhibition features renowned brands, manufacturers, and health experts from Bangladesh, Korea, Thailand, and several other countries, providing a platform for global collaboration in this growing sector.
Supported by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea, KOTRA (Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency), and the DITP (Department of International Trade Promotion), Thailand, the event offers visitors the chance to explore over 100 product stalls, participate in live demonstrations, and engage with skincare professionals.
“The cosmetics industry is booming globally, and Bangladesh is poised to be a key market for these products,” said Ambassador Park Youngsik. “This expo provides invaluable insights into the local market and the opportunities for investment in this sector.”
SM Faisal Munim, CEO of Squadmind Global Ltd., the organiser of the event, remarked, “We are proud to bring together all stakeholders under one roof for the first time in Bangladesh. This exhibition is not just about showcasing products, but also about raising awareness on proper usage, promoting investment, and creating employment opportunities in the personal care sector.”
The exhibition also aims to tackle the challenges of counterfeit products and black-market sales. Key industry leaders believe that Cosmetica: Personal Care & Hygiene Show 2025 will set the stage for elevating quality standards and establishing international collaborations for the Bangladesh personal care market.
In addition to the product exhibitions, a variety of activities are planned, including a documentary screening, a musical drama on the industry, and discussions on market growth.
Notable speakers at the event’s opening included Malik Mohammad Sayeed, CEO of Square Toiletries Ltd., Md. Kamrul Hasan, Chief Business Officer of ACI Consumer Brands, and other key figures.
The event is supported by Haal Fashion, the lifestyle division of Prothom Alo, and media partners Canvas Lifestyle Magazine, Protidiner Bangladesh, and Bangla Telegraph.
The exhibition is open to the public daily from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
