As the music world grieves the loss of legendary rocker Ozzy Osbourne at 76, tributes continue to pour in from fellow artists.

On Friday night, actor and musician Johnny Depp made a surprise appearance at Alice Cooper’s concert at London’s O2 Arena, taking the stage with guitar in hand to honor the late icon. Depp joined Cooper for a rendition of Black Sabbath’s classic 1970 track ‘Paranoid’, and stayed on to perform Cooper’s hit ‘School’s Out’. The two are bandmates in the rock supergroup Hollywood Vampires.

The performance came just days after Osbourne’s family confirmed his passing in a heartfelt statement released Tuesday. “It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning,” the statement read. “He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family’s privacy at this time.”

Ozzy Osbourne, born John Michael Osbourne on December 3, 1948, in England, was a founding member of Black Sabbath alongside Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward.

Formed in 1968, the pioneering heavy metal band left a lasting mark on music history. Black Sabbath was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2006 and received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2019. Osbourne himself was inducted as a solo artist last year and earned five Grammy wins and 12 nominations over his career.
