Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty winds are likely in many parts of Bangladesh from 9am on Wednesday, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD).

The BMD forecast said Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions may experience widespread rainfall, while Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions may see scattered rain or thundershowers with isolated heavy showers.

The monsoon is currently less active over Bangladesh but remains moderately active over the North Bay, the forecast added.
