Relatives of a patient vandalised a private clinic on Sadar Hospital Road in Chuadanga following his death during surgery on Saturday.
The incident took place Saturday night at Uposhom Nursing Home, where police intervened to bring the situation under control.
Chuadanga Sadar Police Station Officer‑in‑charge Mohammad Maruf Rahman said the deceased was identified as Robgul Mollah, a resident of Subdia village under Chuadanga Sadar upazila. He had gone to Uposhom Nursing Home for a tumour operation and died Saturday afternoon.
Hearing the news of his death, relatives vandalised the clinic premises. Additional police forces were deployed to restore order.
OC Maruf said the relatives later left the clinic and returned home with the body.
