Popular Bangladeshi actress Moushumi is set to take on a new project in the United States. She will soon begin shooting for A Beautiful Lie, although it has not yet been decided whether the project will be released as a telefilm or a feature film.
The story will be written and directed by Pavel Imtiaz Neyamul, who has previously worked with Moushumi. According to the actress, filming may begin within the next few days.
“The shooting for A Beautiful Lie might have started by now, but everyone is currently busy with FOBANA and several other matters. So, we plan to begin work a few days later,” Moushumi said.
She added that she had already discussed the story with Neyamul and that they wanted to develop it further before starting production.
Describing the project, Moushumi said, “It is basically a road-trip story with elements of a thriller. Some incidents in the story unfold entirely on the basis of lies. Even so, the moments will be enjoyable. That is why the title is A Beautiful Lie.”
The actress said the final format of the project was yet to be determined.
“Let’s see what happens in the end. I hope the audience will get an entertaining story. Neyamul is a good filmmaker who works with care. I wish him all the best,” she said.
The central character and storyline of A Beautiful Lie revolve around Moushumi.
Moushumi is also occasionally seen performing at cultural events in the United States. Most recently, she entertained audiences by singing Shobai Jibone Prem Ashe, a song from one of her own films.
She also frequently goes on outings with popular singer Dinat Jahan Munni, who lives in the United States.
Moushumi is currently spending quality time with her mother, children and sisters in the US. At this stage of her life, she considers being able to stay with her mother one of her greatest blessings.
