Arhaan Khan, the son of Arbaaz Khan and Malaika Arora, is preparing to make his Bollywood debut as a leading actor, and Salman Khan is reportedly set to join the project in a key cameo.
According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, Salman will appear in the yet-untitled action romance, which will be directed by Anirudh Iyer and produced by Ashwin Varde.
Although the makers have not disclosed details about Salman’s character, sources said his role would be brief but important to the story.
The actor is reportedly expected to shoot for around 10 days.
His involvement could give Arhaan’s first film a significant boost, both in terms of publicity and theatrical appeal.
However, no official announcement has yet been made about the cameo.
The project will mark Arhaan’s transition from working behind the camera to appearing in front of it.
He studied filmmaking in the United States and later gained experience under filmmaker Vikram Phadnis.
Arhaan also assisted Karan Johar during the making of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.
He currently hosts the YouTube podcast Dumb Biryani, where he has spoken with several well-known personalities.
Iyer, meanwhile, previously directed An Action Hero, starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Jaideep Ahlawat.
He was earlier attached to an action romance featuring Lakshya and Rasha Thadani, but that project was eventually shelved.
The filmmaker is now developing Arhaan’s debut as an action-driven love story.
The female lead has not been finalised, with the team reportedly looking for a fresh face. Production is expected to begin in early 2027, though the shooting schedule is yet to be confirmed.
Varde has previously backed films such as Kabir Singh, OMG 2, Khel Khel Mein and The Diplomat.
Salman is currently working on his upcoming film SVC63, directed by Vamshi Paidipally and co-starring Nayanthara.
The project is scheduled for an Eid 2027 release. He is also expected to begin work on a superhero film with Raj and DK in January 2027.
