A biographical drama inspired by the life of legendary Bangladeshi actor Abul Hayat has been made under the title Shaare Tin Hat Mati.
The drama was written and directed by playwright and filmmaker Mohin Khan and was released on YouTube yesterday.
Speaking about the story, Abul Hayat said, “Mohin Khan writes wonderful stories and is also a good director. He works in a very organised way. The title Shaare Tin Hat Mati refers to the fact that a person’s final destination is ultimately the grave.”
In the drama, Abul Hayat’s character remarries after the death of his first wife. Both wives have children, and a conflict eventually develops among them over land and property.
The story explores how the children of the first wife view those of the second wife and the disputes that arise between the two sides.
“Whatever happens in life, our final destination is that grave. Mohin has portrayed this idea beautifully. I also enjoyed working on the drama,” Abul Hayat said.
Another drama starring Abul Hayat, titled Dadi Bhoyonkor, was also released on YouTube around the same time.
The veteran actor has also said that he is scheduled to begin work on a new television serial from 8 September.
