Prime Video has released the first teaser for Maxton Hall – The World Between Us Season 3, offering a brief look at the final chapter of Ruby Bell and James Beaufort’s story, writes Hindustan Times.
The 39-second teaser, released on 3 September with the caption “Return To Class — One Last Time”, features tense moments at Maxton Hall before ending with a kiss between Ruby, played by Harriet Herbig-Matten, and James, portrayed by Damian Hardung.
Ruby’s voiceover sets an emotional tone for the season. “Some stories can change everything… and divide life into a ‘before’ and an ‘after’,” she says.
The final season follows the dramatic events of Season 2, which ended with Ruby suspended from Maxton Hall College and her plans to study at Oxford placed in jeopardy.
James is blamed for the situation, creating further tension between the couple.
Determined to clear her name and protect her future, Ruby teams up with James to uncover what happened.
Their investigation leads them towards secrets that could affect everyone around them.
As more truths emerge, the pair must confront the consequences and decide whether their relationship can survive the pressure.
Season 3 adapts Save Us, the third and final book in Mona Kasten’s Maxton Hall trilogy, published by LYX.
The first season was based on Save Me, while Season 2 drew from Save You.
The story centres on Ruby, a scholarship student at the elite Maxton Hall, and James, the heir to a wealthy and influential family.
Their contrasting backgrounds bring them closer but also expose them to family expectations, social divisions and difficult choices about their future.
The returning cast includes Sonja Weiber as Lydia, Eidin Jalali as Graham, Ben Felipe as Cyril, Fedja van Huêt as Mortimer and Runa Greiner as Ember.
Justus Riesner will return as Alistair, alongside Govinda Gabriel as Kesh, Andrea Guo as Lin, Frederic Balonier as Kieran, Eli Riccardi as Elaine and Dagny Dewath as Ophelia.
Martin Schreier will direct the final season. Markus Brunnemann, Eike Adler and Ceylan Yildirim are executive producers, while Sandra Stöckmann and Yildirim serve as head writers.
Catharina Junk, Marlene Melchior and Aylin Kockler are also part of the writing team.
Valentin Debler returns as producer, with the series receiving support from the German Motion Picture Fund.
