Veteran singer Kumar Bishwajit has been staying in Canada for several years to remain by the side of his only son, Nibir Kumar, who was seriously injured in a road accident there a few years ago.
Nibir has been undergoing treatment ever since the accident. According to Kumar Bishwajit, his son’s physical condition is gradually improving, although he still needs more time to make a full recovery.
Speaking about his current life and his son’s health, the singer said he has to remain strong for Nibir.
“I have to stay well for Nibir. He is gradually recovering, but it will take more time. Even so, I am grateful to the Almighty for everything,” Kumar Bishwajit said.
The singer has had to spend much of the past several years in Canada because of his son’s treatment.
During this difficult period, the family has received prayers, love and support from people in Bangladesh and abroad.
Kumar Bishwajit expressed his gratitude to everyone who has stood by them and prayed for Nibir’s recovery.
Despite remaining occupied with his son’s treatment, the singer has not completely stepped away from music.
Alongside Canada, he has continued performing at stage shows in the United States and Australia.
He said he has already performed at four events in Canada.
However, at this point, Kumar Bishwajit’s biggest hope is for his son to make a full recovery.
