Four Deputy Inspectors General (DIG) of Prisons have been transferred in a reshuffle within Prisons Directorate.
The Ministry of Home Affairs announced the transfers through a notification issued on Sunday.
According to the notification, Tipu Sultan, DIG (Prisons) of Dhaka Division-2 at Gazipur Divisional Headquarters, has been transferred and posted to Prisons Directorate.
DIG Md Altab Hossain has been transferred from Prisons Directorate and posted to Khulna at Jessore Divisional Headquarters.
Meanwhile, DIG Md Kamal Hossain, who was serving at Rangpur Divisional Headquarters, has been transferred and posted to Dhaka Division-2 at Gazipur Divisional Headquarters.
Additionally, DIG Monir Ahmed has been transferred from Khulna at Jessore Divisional Headquarters to Rangpur Divisional Headquarters.
The notification, signed by Md Aminul Islam, deputy secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs, was issued on 30 August. The order instructed the respective officers to take the necessary steps to join their new workplaces immediately.
