The Bangladesh Jewellers’ Association (BAJUS) has once again reduced the price of precious metal, slashing the rate of 22-carat gold by Tk2,216 per bhori.

Under the new rates, the price of a bhori (11.66 grams) of high-quality 22-carat gold has been fixed at Tk2,35,146. The price reduction comes after a single rate hike, which followed three consecutive drops.

BAJUS announced the decision in a press release issued on Sunday, stating that the adjustment was made due to a decline in the price of pure gold (Tezabi gold) in the local market. The new rates have been implemented starting from 10am.

The price of 21-carat gold has been decreased by Tk2,100, bringing it down to Tk2,24,590 per bhori.

Additionally, 18-carat gold has been priced at Tk1,92,864 per bhori, while gold refined under the traditional method will now cost Tk1,57,522 per bhori.
