A 14-member team from Yunnan Minzu University in China arrived at the Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protisthan (BKSP) on Saturday to take part in an exchange training programme under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the two institutions.
BKSP Director General Brig Gen Md Saif Ullah welcomed the visiting team and exchanged views with its members, reads a press release.
The Chinese delegation includes 11 cricket trainees, two coaches—one specialising in Tai Chi and the other in cricket—and an interpreter.
Under the two-week exchange training programme, BKSP’s expert coaches will provide the 11 trainees from Yunnan Minzu University with training on various cricket techniques and practical aspects of the game.
Meanwhile, the Tai Chi coach from the Chinese university will provide Tai Chi training to trainees of BKSP’s Wushu department.
The programme will create opportunities for trainees and coaches from both institutions to exchange knowledge, skills and experience.
The exchange training programme between BKSP and Yunnan Minzu University is expected to further strengthen cooperation between Bangladesh and China in sports education and training, while playing an important role in expanding mutual sporting activities in the future.
