Netflix is giving the Straw Hat Pirates another makeover.

After bringing One Piece to life in a successful live-action series, the streaming giant is now turning the beloved pirate adventure into LEGO, writes Collider.

As part of its latest anime-related announcements at Anime NYC, Netflix unveiled the first official trailer for LEGO One Piece, offering fans their first proper look at Luffy and his crew in their new brick-built form.

The upcoming project transforms Netflix’s live-action interpretation of Eiichiro Oda’s acclaimed manga into the instantly recognisable LEGO style.

The trailer reimagines familiar characters, locations and adventures with a playful visual approach while retaining the spirit of Luffy’s journey to become the King of the Pirates.

The new footage also highlights how the colourful world of One Piece lends itself naturally to a LEGO adaptation.

From massive pirate ships and eccentric villains to fantastical abilities and larger-than-life locations, the franchise’s chaotic world gets a lighter and more playful makeover.
