After more than a year away from the screen, Sharlin Farzana is back — and this time, she has reunited with a familiar co-star. The actress returns with Nilpori, a new drama starring Ziaul Faruq Apurba opposite her.
Sharlin was once a regular face in television dramas, winning audiences through performances alongside Apurba, Afran Nisho and other popular actors. She has also appeared in films. Her last drama, Bhalobasha Bhalo Rakhar Upai, came more than a year ago, when she starred opposite Khairul Basar under director Pothik Shadhan.
Her comeback drama, Nilpori, comes from young filmmaker Masrikul Alam and writer Imdad Babu. Sharlin said working with Apurba again made her return particularly enjoyable. She has acted with him in around 30 dramas, including Bhalobashar Fanush, Shei Cheleta, Na Bola Diary, Bola Holo Na, Ei Rod Ei Brishti and Eka Ei Ami. She said almost all of their projects received a positive response.
“It feels really good to act in a drama again after such a long break. Having Apurba bhai as my co-star made it even better. He is the kind of co-actor who makes acting feel spontaneous when he is beside you. That is very important,” Sharlin said.
Nilpori will be released on CD Choice’s YouTube channel. Sharlin now wants to return to regular acting, but only when a story appeals to her.
She made her film debut in Khijir Hayat Khan’s Jago and later appeared in Masud Hasan Ujjal’s Unoponchash Batash after another long gap.
