Actress Sabila Nur says the credit for her successful on-screen chemistry with Shakib Khan belongs entirely to the Dhallywood superstar, praising his professionalism and remarkable physical transformation for their films together.
After making her big-screen debut opposite Shakib Khan in the 2025 blockbuster Tandob, Sabila reunited with the actor in this year’s Rockstar.
Their chemistry, particularly in the song Lichur Bagane, received widespread appreciation from audiences.
Speaking in a recent interview, Sabila said she was impressed by Shakib’s dedication to his craft.
“The credit goes entirely to Shakib Khan. The way he transformed himself is truly incredible. I was amazed after watching the trailer and his look in Prince,” she said.
Recalling the filming of Rockstar in Malaysia, Sabila said she was stunned by Shakib’s appearance when he arrived on set.
“When Shakib Bhai came to Malaysia for the shoot, I was genuinely surprised. In just seven to ten days, he had transformed himself so much that he looked like a teenager. The credit goes completely to him and his team. Our entire unit was energetic, and that positive atmosphere helped create such beautiful on-screen chemistry.”
Sabila also spoke about filming romantic scenes with the actor, saying she never felt uncomfortable because both performers remained fully committed to their characters.
“Once the camera starts rolling, he is no longer Shakib Khan and I am no longer Sabila Nur. He becomes Agun and I become Meera. The relationship between the characters is what matters. He created such a comfortable environment that I could perform the romantic scenes with complete ease.”
She further praised Shakib’s professionalism, revealing that he carefully reviewed every shot after filming and discussed ways to improve his performance.
“That’s what I admire most about him. After every shot, he analyses his performance and looks for areas that can be improved. It inspired me as an actor, so performing romantic scenes with him never felt like a challenge.”
Directed by Azman Rusho, Rockstar stars Shakib Khan, Sabila Nur, Dilara Zaman, Tanzia Zaman Mithila, Sunidhi Nayek, Pantha Kanai and Tariq Anam Khan. The film was released in cinemas on 28 May.
