adidas has unveiled a special Argentina collection to mark Lionel Messi’s final international appearance, with La Albiceleste set to wear a commemorative kit on October 6.
The collection combines Argentina’s traditional colours with gold detailing and several design elements dedicated to Messi’s international career.
The shirt features a modern interpretation of the Sun of May, one of Argentina’s national symbols, across the front and back of the torso. The familiar sky-blue and white colours remain at the centre of the design, while gold appears on the federation crest, trim and player numbering.
The adidas performance logo has also been replaced by Messi’s personal signature logo.
A bespoke design featuring the iconic No. 10, laurel branches and the Sol de Mayo completes the commemorative details.
The shirt also uses adidas’ CLIMACOOL+ technology. The company says the jersey uses 3D body mapping and engineered stretch fabrics to improve ventilation and moisture management during high-intensity play.
Perforated three-stripe panels and strategically placed mesh zones provide additional airflow across the shirt.
The Messi x Argentina collection extends beyond the match jersey. adidas is also releasing a pre-match range featuring graphics inspired by the Argentine flag, alongside lifestyle pieces designed around the same visual identity.
The capsule includes matching special-edition shorts and socks, giving supporters options beyond the match kit.
The commemorative shirt will be worn by Argentina during Messi’s final international appearance on October 6, according to the supplied adidas collection details.
