Janata Bank PLC has received the first prize in the “Best Innovative Product” category for its in-house payment gateway service “Janata Pay” at the state-owned commercial bank category of the Innovation Showcasing 2025–2026, organised by the Financial Institutions Division under the Ministry of Finance of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.
The award ceremony for the Best Innovative Initiative 2025–26 was held on Monday, 6 July 2026 at the multipurpose hall room of the Ministry of Finance. Janata Bank PLC Managing Director Md Mujibur Rahman received the award from Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury, Minister of the Ministry of Finance and Planning, as the chief guest. The event was chaired by Nazma Mobarek, Secretary of the Financial Institutions Division.
