Police launched action against protesters in front of Islami Bank Tower in Dhaka’s Dilkusha area on Monday morning.
Law enforcers used water cannons, sound grenades and batons to disperse the crowd.

A customer was reportedly injured by a brick chip hurled during the clash between the protesters and the police. The injured person is now receiving treatment at Islami Bank Central Hospital.

Heavy police deployment, including armoured personnel carriers, was seen outside the tower following the incident.
