Bangladesh Meteorological Department has issued a weather warning for Eid day, predicting light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty winds across all eight divisions.
According to the forecast, many places within the Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, and Sylhet divisions are likely to experience temporary gusty or squally winds and lightning, alongside light to moderate rain or thundershowers.
Similar weather conditions are anticipated in some places across the Rangpur, Barishal, and Chattogram divisions. The Met Office also warned that moderately heavy to heavy rainfall may occur in various parts of the country.
Regarding temperature, the weather office stated that daytime temperatures across the country may increase slightly, while night temperatures are expected to remain nearly unchanged.
The bulletin further indicated that this trend of stormy weather and heavy rainfall is likely to persist across all divisions. Looking ahead, the department also noted the possibility of a low-pressure area forming over the East-Central Bay of Bengal next week.
