Two more children undergoing treatment for measles symptoms died at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital (MMCH) in the last 24 hours.
Focal person of the hospital’s measles unit Golam Maula confirmed the matter on Wednesday. During this period, 23 new children were admitted, 21 returned home after recovery, and 96 children remain under treatment at the hospital.
Since 17 March, a total of 1,293 children with measles symptoms have been admitted to the hospital. Of these, 1,166 children have recovered and returned home and 31 children have died after being hospitalised with measles.
Currently, 96 children are receiving treatment for the disease at the hospital.
