Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) implemented security and issued a maximum alert across various border points in Kurigram.
Kurigram Battalion (22 BGB) Lt Col Mohammed Mahbub-ul-Haq confirmed the matter in a press release on Saturday.
The notification said BGB has enforced these high-security measures and the maximum alert across the district’s borders in adherence to a “zero tolerance” policy to protect the country’s territorial integrity, prevent smuggling, and suppress illegal infiltration.
