Storms with wind speeds of 45 to 60 km/h may sweep over eight districts across the country, accompanied by rain or thundershowers.

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) confirmed the matter on Monday.

In a warning valid until 1pm for inland river ports, temporary gusty or squally winds from the west or northwest are expected over Mymensingh, Dhaka, Faridpur, Barishal, Noakhali, Cumilla, Chattogram, and Sylhet. River ports in these areas have been advised to hoist cautionary signal number 1.

There is also a possibility of rain or thundershowers during this time.

In a separate bulletin, BMD said light to moderate rain or thundershowers, accompanied by gusty winds and lightning, are forecast for all divisions over the next few days. Moderate to heavy rainfall may occur in some locations.
