High Court Justice Md Abdul Mannan was relieved of judicial duties after a video showing alleged misconduct went viral.
The Chief Justice’s office confirmed the decision on Thursday.
In the latest Supreme Court bench reconstitution, Justice Mannan was not assigned any judicial responsibilities, nor was his name included in the cause list.
Two weeks earlier, Mannan was seen shouting and engaging in an argument at an event in Cumilla. The video, showing him attempting to halt an Apex Club election, spread widely on social media.
The incident occurred on 3 April at Cumilla Central Medical College auditorium during an Apex Bangladesh national board election and a president and secretary conference.
