Sylhet Titans have responded to recent claims made by Nasum Ahmed regarding unpaid dues, firmly stating that the spinner has already received his full payment.

Nasum had earlier expressed frustration, saying he is yet to receive Tk3.5 million from his BPL contract despite playing the entire season.

The left-arm spinner featured in 12 matches in the last BPL and picked up 18 wickets, finishing as the joint second-highest wicket-taker. His performance played a key role in Sylhet reaching the second qualifier.

In their response, Sylhet Titans said the matter of player payments for the season was resolved last month at the Bangladesh Cricket Board office. They insist that Nasum’s full contracted amount of Tk3.5 million has already been cleared, leaving no outstanding dues.

The franchise also addressed confusion around additional payments. They explained that any discussion about bonuses happened informally before the auction and was linked to the team winning the title. Since Sylhet did not become champions, they say no bonus is applicable.

Sylhet further claimed that Nasum had requested to receive his payment in cash instead of through a bank, and that request was honored. They added that advance cheques issued during the tournament for security reasons were returned by other players after payment, but Nasum has yet to return his.

They also pointed out that the spinner was not present at the BCB office on the day payments were settled and has not returned the cheques despite repeated requests.

Sylhet Titans maintain that they have fulfilled all contractual obligations and that no money is owed to Nasum.
