The office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has issued a statement dismissing international media rumours regarding his death during the ongoing conflict with Iran.
Speculation intensified after the Iranian semi-official Tasnim News Agency claimed on Monday that Netanyahu had been killed in an Iranian strike
In a statement published on Tuesday via the social media platform X, the Israeli Prime Minister’s office confirmed that Netanyahu visited the National Health Command Centre as part of “Operation Roaring Lion.”
He was accompanied by Health Minister Haim Katz. During the visit, the Director General of the Ministry of Health, Moshe Bar Siman Tov, briefed the Prime Minister on the health system’s operations during the current campaign.
According to a BBC report citing his office, Netanyahu addressed the conflict with Iran, asserting that Israeli military operations are “breaking their bones.”

He stated that Israel aims to liberate the Iranian people from the “tyranny” of the current regime, though he noted that such change ultimately rests with the people of Iran. Netanyahu further indicated that military actions are ongoing and suggested that more strikes could follow.
This statement marks the first communication from Netanyahu since the rumours began. While the Prime Minister has not yet made a public appearance, the post on his verified X account included a photograph of him seated with several officials.
The Jerusalem Post had previously described the reports of Netanyahu being killed or injured as wartime rumours and speculation.
These rumours emerged following the joint Israel-US military aggression in Iran that began on 28 February, which reportedly resulted in the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Khamenei on the first day.
In response, Tehran launched retaliatory strikes against US bases and Israeli facilities across the Middle East.
On Monday, Tasnim News Agency reported an attack on Netanyahu’s office, hinting at his potential death or injury, though the report provided no evidence or confirmed information regarding any harm.
