Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has appointed ten individuals as advisers, assigning five of them the rank and status of a minister and the remaining five the status of a state minister.

According to a notification issued by the Cabinet Division on Tuesday, these appointments were made by the prime minister with power conferred under Rule 3(B) of the Rules of Business, 1996.

The individuals appointed with the rank and status of a minister are Mirza Abbas Uddin Ahmed, Nazrul Islam Khan, Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, Md Ismail Zabiullah, and Rashed Al Mahmud Titumir.

Those appointed as advisers with the rank and status of a state minister include Humayun Kabir, Brigadier General (retd) Shamsul Islam, Zahedur Rahman, Mahdi Amin, and Rehan Asif Asad.

The notification, signed by Cabinet Secretary Nasimul Gani, further stated that the order would come into effect immediately.
