BNP Vice Chairman Abdul Awal Mintoo and the party’s nominated candidate for the Feni-3 constituency, has asserted that there is no alternative to the BNP for rescuing the country from its current fragile economic state.
Speaking at a street rally in Motiganj Union of Sonagazi Upazila on Tuesday, Mintoo stated that BNP’s past governance experience could be utilised to elevate the nation into a strong economic position.
During the event, Mintoo emphasised that job creation is the primary prerequisite for any country’s economic development. He argued that a nation cannot achieve economic progress while a large segment of the population remains unemployed, stressing that a permanent solution to the unemployment problem must be the first step in moving the country forward.
The BNP leader further promised that if the party wins the upcoming national parliamentary election on 12 February, it will swiftly implement a large-scale and realistic plan to ensure economic development and the elimination of unemployment.
Mintoo maintained that the BNP government would focus on creating employment opportunities on a priority basis if granted the public’s mandate.
“BNP does politics for the people,” Mintoo remarked, adding that only the BNP possesses practical experience in state administration. He urged voters to support the “Sheaf of Paddy” symbol as the only way to resolve the existing national crises.
The rally was also attended by Advocate Shahana Akter Shanu, a member of the BNP Central Committee; Joynal Abedin Bablu, Convener of Sonagazi Upazila BNP; and Member Secretary Syed Alam Bhuiyan. Other prominent local leaders present included Joint Convener Monowar Hossain Sentu, Upazila Jubo Dal Convener Khurshid Alam Bhuiyan, and Member Secretary Probir, along with various activists from the BNP and its affiliate organisations.
